What do Helix Tests do?

Helix process challenge devices (PCD) are used in steam sterilisers to test the autoclave's air removal and steam penetration ability. They are essential for upholding industry sterilisation and infection control requirements.

Who Uses Helix Tests?

Practices, surgeries and clinics with pre-vacuum, B class autoclaves who sterilise solid or hollow loads as per AS/NZS 4815:2006. A successful Helix test indicates that the steam steriliser is penetrating instruments thoroughly.
